    Brand Overview

    Farmers Market Hawaii is a streetwear fashion brand, with a reputation for being at the forefront of Hawaiian culture, and center of Hawaiian Culture. The brand delivers exceptional graphic t-shirts, hats, and accessories that are often resold in a second-hand market for 10 times the price. With a new take on modern Hawaiian artwork, Farmers Market Hawaii’s Akua logo is a brand that customers feel good about supporting.

    The Brief

    Farmers Market Hawaii was looking to redesign and develop its website in order to better reflect the fashion brand and feature the community on its U.S Site. The new design needed to raise the standard of user experience (UX across the whole website. Farmers Market Hawaii aesthetic is bold, and the customer user journey needed to reflect this on the site. Cnoversions was also a priority for FMHI, and this was the natural result of the detailed UX improvements on the site.

    Ultimately, the site is simple and user-friendly, creating the perfect user experience, and increasing the chance of happy customer converting. FMHI also needed to appeal to its growing audience internationally in Japan.

    Our Approach

    For Farmers Market Hawaii’s requirements, Shopify was the obvious solution. 99.99% uptime was important for a brand that already has a high returning customer base and scalability within the fashion niche which was necessary for FMHI rate to grow. The website was designed to reflect FMHI’s bold aesthetic, branding, and ethos.

    It was important for FMHI to resonate with the ‘Hype’ culture associated with this niche. We made sure to have the full range of FMHI products displayed across the site, and that the customer journey was as seamless as possible.

    Increased conversion rates was a core requirement for the new FMHI site, and this went hand-in-hand with the user interface and user experience upgrades. High quality product photography on collection pages gives customers the exactly what they expect to see – along with descriptive product titles and quick add to cart buttons, making it easy for customers to purchase as possible.

    This is complemented by the FMHI’s Farmers central area, which nurtures returning customers through entertainment. (Custom Youtube, and Instagram integrations.) The site is built so that repurchasing products customer already trust and enjoy is as easy as possible. When products are out of stock, they are given the ability to notifications when they come back in stock.

    This goes one step further with the integration of Foursixty Buyable Instagram feeds. Where the now have the ability to shop photography of the community wearing FMHI products making the shopping experience easy for customers to purchase a look.

    We toured the Jabbawockeez Las Vegas retail location at the MGM Grand to see the operations on how we could integrate Shopify Point of Sale into their day to day. 

    Design Sprint

    Started the 5 Day Shopify Ecommerce Design Sprint here at the Jabbawockeez Headquarters. We interviewed at asked questions to see how the retail part of the business and brand operated.
